A message from our 2019 Retreat Leader
Hello! My name is Sally Robinson, and I am a daughter of God and a retired Presbyterian minister. In 1982 1 answered God's call to ministry.
As I look back over the past 35 years I realize that my ministry has largely been with women and their children. I am especially fascinated by how women of all ages have gathered in communities of all types to support one another in a myriad of ways since the beginning of time.
Both The Red Tent and Text Me When You Get Home explore how women support one another in various ways across generations. It seems that in our era of the “Me Too” movement, more women supporting one another in the political arena, and more women becoming the voices of faith and spiritual life, both institutional and not, it is time to look at our communities in a new way.
As I look back over a lifetime I know I have been aggravated, supported, and blessed by such communities of women, and I look forward to sharing these stories of community with you.
